Natural Consequences

“Come here! The Snollygoster needs you now
To mop up and absorb the evil stench
Of lies and subterfuge, of evil foul,
Then to reverse position and retrench!”
So came the call to Conway, Flynn and Spicer,
And they came running, eager for the fame
They might suck up in making Evil nicer
Than it at first appeared in its own name.
But look! Here’s how it really works when Evil
Puts on the faces others will submit
To fool the fools, the serfs almost medieval,
When they’ve been fully soiled, drenched in shit:
First Flynn, then Spicer, too, and finally Conway
Will be the first three sponges to be cast away.
