Spring Song (linked haiku series)

One small breath of cloud
rolls across infinite blue-
lone crow rides the wind

Skeleton branches
reach beyond the living wood-
hummingbird rests

Bright sun glints bees’ wings
floating like the loose balloon
seeking the ocean

For birds’ amusement
water tumbles from copper-
sparrows duck and play

Peonies hang low
pass Spring’s bright baton
to echinacea

Every swaying tree,
quivering lawn, flying thing
joins Spring’s shining song

Your haikus are both beautiful and skillfully composed. I enjoyed them a lot.

So what do you think?
