Sonnet for a Small Audience

Who contemplates a seed and cannot see
The tall green life that waits there to begin
Will never love completely nor with strength-
He lacks the vision lovers have within.
They see the present beauties of their loves
But even more what might yet come to be
Thus loosening their grip on what is now
To give both time and space to set growth free.
In doing so, great lovers find themselves
As well as seeing how their loves can grow
In infinite varieties and shapes
More beautiful than weak lovers can know.
Thus Love’s most gentle grip makes best alliance,
Creating in the loved one full compliance.

Wow, such lovely words but I am afraid you are right, a small audience it is… love and peace to you, my friend… Michelle
