Rattled

On those long raggedy days
When what’s out there fits
Only loosely into the space
Our eyes and brain make for it
So that the images rattle
Stick sideways and bind–

Lean back into breath
Clearing a level path
To the center and core
Closing your eyes gently
Until you exhale your own light
To show the way back to life.
