The light? It never dies, you know,
But rather takes a break
From shining in your happy home
For all your happy sakes.
When you’re in darkness, then the sun
Warms someone else’s place,
And still you see the world as dark
When light’s not on your face?
In Solstice time, as in the night,
There’s light and warmth and song
Someplace you’re not, so why complain?
It won’t be dark for long.
Embrace this night, hold lovers close,
As chill night breezes blow,
There’s beauty in the black night, too,
As lovers always know.
The Solstice comes to give us rest
From bright day’s garish glance,
So enter in her spirit now,
And come enjoy her dance!
