Darkness Sings

Crow walks off the road,
through the fence
you shaped by hand,
stalks Black dog
who lies smiling
in the grass and sun.

Cheap and easy lights
burn the night away,
blinding the stars
singing their brittle
songs in the night
we cannot hear.

But see now how
darkness reveals light
in fur and feather
cloudy day and deep night-
crow sheds blessings
with nightshine
over a sleeping dog.

And still some people relate darkness with evil, if they ever knew the serenity that it envelops !

I cannot express in writing how much I truly love your poems. I did try, however, and I posted about you on my website: http://www.pallodium.wordpress.com.
    Continue being an amazing writer!

By the way, not sure if you would like this, but if you have a darker background, navy blue, gray or black, we’d be able to see the snow fall better! It’s an adorable touch on an already great blog, but just wanted to give you the suggestion. 🙂

So what do you think?
