I Like Him, But…

Loud, low whine of the leaf blower
Wielded by a neighbor who believes
His nuts will drop off the minute
He picks up a broom–

While Mother wrecks vengeance
For the bird-deafening noise
For the dead dinosaurs burned
For the noxious exhaust
By swirling down silent leaves
Every time he turns his back.
