Song for Understanding

Racing stripes on chipmunks?
Lobster bibs on birds?
Misinterpret what you will,
But don’t mis-take my words.

I once lost a sister
For way more than just time.
Because of words misunderstood,
Our poem went out of rhyme.

So, see as tiny helicopters
Bright green hummingbirds–
Say Pluto’s not a planet, but
Please don’t mis-take my words.

Like Cat Stevens sings “there are no words I can use because the meaning still leaves for you to choose and I couldn’t stand to let them be abused by you…”

    Love!

So what do you think?
